The actual racing and sense of speed/action are phenomenal. The track footage is presented through fast, stylish editing techniques that make this a timeless watch. The narrative pacing, however, feels like it works against those scenes. The character drama starts strong but never feels like it fills the shoes of what a three-hour epic should contain.
